Our Story

Couch Garage began where many great businesses start — in a garage in Houston, Texas. With just a pickup truck and a few sofas, Founder Ali Zaid started sourcing furniture from local suppliers, delivering orders himself, and building trust with customers one home at a time.

Over the years, that small operation grew into a deep understanding of what customers truly value: honest pricing, reliable service, and beautiful furniture that feels like home.After spending over a decade in the furniture business — and learning directly from his father, who built his own furniture company from scratch — Ali brought that experience to Denver, Colorado, launching Couch Garage as a modern, online-only brand built for today’s lifestyle.

Ali combines his financial expertise with a decade of hands-on retail experience to build a brand focused on smart growth, customer satisfaction, and sustainable value.
